Granted support from the Maritime, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Fund

Nordic SeaFarm har beviljats stöd från havs-, fiskeri- och vattenbruksprogrammet för förbättrad skördeteknik av havsodlad tång. Med hjälp av stödet har vi införskaffat en flotte där tången landas under skörd samt ett transportband där tången flyttas från skördeplattform till förvaring i bingar på flotten. Flotten har en lastkapacitet på 4 ton och kommer motoriseras under hösten för enklare transport av tång från odlingsriggar till kaj. Målet med investeringen är öka kapaciteten av hållbart producerad tång genom förbättrad skördeteknik.

Nordic SeaFarm has been granted support from the maritime, fisheries, and aquaculture fund for improved harvesting techniques of sea-farmed seaweed. With the help of this support, we have acquired a barge where the seaweed is landed during harvest, as well as a conveyor belt that moves the seaweed from the harvesting platform to storage bins on the barge. The barge has a load capacity of 4 tons and will be motorized in the fall for easier transport of seaweed from the farming rigs to the quay. The goal of the investment is to increase the capacity of sustainably produced seaweed through improved harvesting techniques.
